That's how long my copy of Atlas Shrugged is. From what I've heard it's mostly garbage, but I feel that I should at least be familiar with it if I'm going to call myself a libertarian. It was Heinlein's wonderful The Moon is a Harsh Mistress (widely regarded as his best work, read it)  that popped my libertarian cherry.

I tend to live by the idea that in life, no matter how shitty or awesome a situation may be, there is a lesson to be learned. This naturally leads to a lot of specualtion on my part concerning the "why?" of things.
