Today, I received a copy of "House of Many Ways" by Diana Wynne Jones, so I'll stop pretending I'm still reading "The Big Over Easy",  so I can read it.  It represents a little well of potential pleasure in my otherwise miserable existence.

Garden Report

My pyracantha is growing like the clappers and has loads of tiny berries on it.  I think these plants all need names and - somewhat late in the day -  I'm naming this one Luke, after "Eight Days of Luke" (i.e. the fire god, Loki).

Last night, it snowed.

I got quite excited when I heard there's going to be a remake of Terry Nation's "Survivors". I was a bit less thrilled to discover that it will be a six-part "reimagining", based on Nation's book, because the BBC couldn't get the rights to remake the original TV series.
