A few days ago as I was leaving my sister's place after checking in on their cats while she and her husband were at the hospital I noticed a Junebug having difficulties on their front steps. When I attempted to guide it away from the porch light it nearly flew into my mouth.

I went out to bring in some laundry last night and there was smoke in the air. Probably from an in-state fire, rather than from Canada but I can't imagine how scary it must be for people closer.

It feels very strange to sift through piles and piles of papers with my tiny, faint scribbles on them and have no memory of the things written ( Read more... )

I dreamt i was cleaning the downstairs bathroom(at our old house) and discovered a drama in the cabinet under the sink. A drama. WTF!? A mob drama, no less. Some kid had seen too much and was trying to avoid getting offed. I think it might have been Mokuba. I like snow. Shoveling is very meditative. It's neat to watch how snow bunches up ahead of the shovel and to notice the way the added weight and the texture of the pavement changes the sound of the shovel's vibration. It's musical in a way. My anger at the medical world is making it difficult for me to process my feelings over the death of my uncle. If doctors looked at people as a gestalt he would have had a swifter diagnosis and a better chance at survival. But they don't. Patients are just piles of symptoms between them and money.
