My stepDad is having surgery Monday. It's fairly major - he had a stroke this week & he's been in the hospital - they found other stuff wrong with him as well. I hope I can always remember how I felt tonight.

I'm exhausted - had to nanny it up today, and I was too excited to fall asleep last night.

I need sleep. I think I should take a nap now, so when I wake up there'll be results coming in. But I'm too excited to lie down!

I just woke up, put my iPod on shuffle. The first song that came up was Arcadia's "Election Day." Cross my heart, hope to die. I'm taking that as a good omen.
