I was reading a Pit thread about Chivalrous Morons- because I wasn't sure how chivalry was the kind of thing one would get pissed off enough to Pit - and people started giving the OP shit because apparently she talks about her boobs a lot. I totally understand getting irritated with posters that take any opportunity to blow their own horns, because

Yeah, it's definitely shallow to be disgusted by something like that, but the comment's been there all day and I don't think anyone called him on it - meaning no one else was offended by that statement. It surprises me. I don't feel ashamed of my body and I'm ticked that he thinks I should be.

Actually, you'd have laughed at this:
Last Wednesday night I was out seeing some bands, and a relatively new IRL friend was there. He's also a Facebook friend, and I'd posted earlier in the day that I'd just been fitted for new bras. He'd found it hilarious for some reason, and when he saw me at the bar, he came up and said, "How's the new bra working for you?" Now, the rack was looking incredible, and he's a short guy, so he's just barely above eye-level with the girls. I look at him and go, "I think the question is how's it working for YOU?" He stops for a second and goes, "Really, really well" and sort of wanders away - I assume he was just overwhelmed by their glory.

Man, I had to read your response three times before I realized that "above eye-level with the girls" was referring to your boobs and not some average height of Chicago women.

It appears my slow moment has become a slow morning.
