By 8:00 this morning, we were voters 84 and 85 of the 600-odd in our precinct and there was a line of 15 more that came in in the two minutes that we were there. That's a lot of people making sure to vote before leaving for work.

Ben Greenberg says that what's being locally reported as a suicide was actually a lynching. I'm not convinced, but I think the story is at least worth a serious look. Spread the word if you agree.

If you haven't already, you must read Cory Doctorow and Charles Stross's story "Flowers From Alice" from last year's New Voices anthology. I just read it in Strahan and Haber's annual. It's a really amazing story of sexual redefinitions.
