Halloween Party Poster

Hi Guys! I haven't posted or vectored in a very, very long time but inspiration struck in the form of a pin-up/zombie girl Halloween poster for a party I'm helping to throw. This is most definitely a work in progress, but I need some outside help to improve it. I've been staring at it so long I can't even see straight ( Read more... )

Definitely highlight the hair.
I love tattooing zombies on people and my fave colors for this are green and purple. Maybe add some purple lace-up ribbons to the sides of her panties and boots... or even in her hair.
I really like the bats coming out from the moon, but they seem so isolated up there in the corner- maybe make them get larger and overlap the gal a bit... as if they were coming out of the picture?

Theres also something thats a bit off about her body and the perspective of the way shes sort of twisted... I cant pipoint it exactly but spots that seem off are where her hair meets her back, her chest/ right arm, and mer hips. Its not anything dramatic, and Im sure it looks fine to the untrained eye.

...Just some ideas...
It really is a good design/ layout though. Be sure to post the finished product!

Thanks! I really appreciate your input. I will definitely try the purple. I was thinking her face needs something more, maybe I'll add the purple there underneath her eyes. I think that I need to enlarge the design and put way more details in the face/eye area.

I was also thinking of adding some stitching designs on her arms and legs to give it more of a zombie look. My problem with it is that she looks too clean. If that makes sense.

definitely highlight the hair!

that part of her shoulder where the black line comes down from the top of the shoulder needs to go, it makes it look like her arm is disconnected from her body like a doll arm.

if her arm is that far forward that we're seeing a significant part of her back, i think her boob should be more hidden behind her arm. the way the bottom of it curves, it would have to be sticking reeeally far out, implant-style, from her chest. unless you're going for lots of boobage on purpose. x)

lovelovelove the boots, maybe add a few highlights in white on the front one to make 'em look like shiny leather?

and i agree with more stitching kind of designs... maybe some missing chunks of flesh and an exposed bone? that's how i always like to do my zombies, hahaha.

overall it looks fantaaaastic. she looks EXACTLY like my old roommate, hahahaa. :)

show us the finished product fo' sho'!

I hate hair! I'm trying to highlight it right now but I'm having difficulty figure out where the highlights need to go especially in relation to the light source (light of the moon) - anything thoughts?

As far as the boots and hot pants go, I'm thinking of leaving those matte and yeah...more boobage the better, right?

I shortened that shoulder line and it looks much, much, much better!

Thanks for the suggestions!

I haaaate hair too, it's a pain in the ass! What I tend to do with it is just make a bunch of lines with various colors... here's one I did a while ago so you can kinda see what I'm talking about...

here's a really really extremely quick-and-dirty one i just threw together. colors got a bit wonky because i was lazy in saving, but whatev, you can kinda see what i mean. vaguely, lol. like i said i did this super fast so it's sloppy.

Not only should you highlight her hair, but the ends look a little choppy, maybe round them a bit to make them look a little more natural?

Also, I think her coloring is a bit off for zombie, personally. Either she should look more like a recently zombified human (therefore a little more yellow-y pink) or really rotted (so more greenish). Right now she sort of looks like a vampire. I agree with a lot more interest in her skin, rough her up a bit, some bruising/wounds/missing bits would be great. She really just needs to look a bit more dead, I think.

& I agree that the boots are amazing, what a cool shape you got. Also, your shading on the body is really nice, especially that thigh.

One more thing. The boob is reaaaally off in placement. Even an implant would be a bit lower than that. Try looking at some porn (I know, I know) to get an idea of where those plastic bad boys sit.
