Sorry I've been neglecting my LJ, I've been upset and there hasn't been too much to say. I got back a few days ago from my Grandfather's funeral in Florida. I had to have Deja put to sleep, the vet thought it was spinal cancer and along with her other problems like skin damage from urine scald and snuffles, along with the fact that she was ten years old; it was the best thing for her. It seems that I'm going to Florida this week to say a final goodbye to my Grandpa. Every day, literally every damn day has been up and down news of his health. Yesterday he was improving a bit again, today it seems like he's on death's doorstep. It's wearing me down. Trying to get a flight during Thanksgiving is going to be rough. Turns out my Grandpa hadn't been getting his medicine and that is why he was becoming so weak. Some shrew of a nurse didn't ask what prescriptions he was on despite the fact that that is protocol when he was being moved to rehab one of the multiple times. He's supposed to slowly get better now and I'm very relieved ( Read more... )

I think my Grandfather is dying. Twenty years ago when he had his gallbladder removed the surgeon left two clamps in him and he has apparently long had infection from this, but until this past summer it was contained and didn't affect his health ( Read more... )

I hate Hester, my temp. computer. I can't stay online for more than a few minutes without my whole computer freezing up (probably spyware but if I run adaware or spybot the whole system freezes up as well so I don't know how to get rid of it :( I'm pasting this from notepad so it won't freeze before I'm done posting ( Read more... )

I'm in deep mourning over the Bush "victory". I like that he never got the satisfaction of a clean straight out decisive win. He slithered his way in and he'll slink his way out and be forgotten in the shadowed halls of history. Some of my own family members voted for him on "moral grounds" *hangs head in shame*. Sunday night two minutes after getting a phone call that my Grandfather's kidneys were failing and as I was traveling to the door to give candy to trick or treaters I fell in a spot of the tile floor that was slippery with wood polish and popped my kneecap out of place.
