Maybe it's a chain mail letter. It's saying that if you don't send it to at least 5 people, you will be struck down by the Hand of God and suffer an unending torture of vultures with razer blade wings.

One or two years ago, I got tons of emails like that. I believe that texts are taken from random ebooks and are meant to fool spam filters that work on the content. If you look at the email again, it will most likely have an HTML portion with 'regular' spam content, and you were looking at the text-only portion which is for disguise.

I looked at the html version, too, but no regular spam filter. Maybe they were just checking if the e-mail didn't bounce back or something?
