Partay, partay!

In between cultural studies and toga parties, it's like Meridian is hopping the Wayback Express to 200AD!

Only there are more toilets and less orgies.

(I think.)

EDIT: OH! I'd also like to mention that Mina and I will be hosting a movie night at our apartment. We'll be showing the classic Amadeus, because everyone loves Amadeus (unless you don ( Read more... )

Wait, am I to understand that we're hosting a toga party?

I'm far more amiable to a Roman-themed gathering than an orgy. I'll order a steam cleaning vacuum cleaner, just in case.

No, no, there's a toga party that I'm going to attend. But you've reminded me of something!

A party invitation and it wasn't extended to me? I'm quite saddened by this. To whom may I appeal for an invitation as well? If you tell me this information, I may see fit to helping you with a costume.

It was extended by one evelynrevisited to anyone. If you want to come, of course you can.

Is this an open invitation sort of thing? I think I can manage a proper stola from home. Bloody Classics majors, we're all lunatics.

I'd check out evelynrevisited if you want to know. He's the one hosting. The movie night, though, that's open invite and any friend of Mina's is welcome (especially friends of Mina's who are Classics majors).

Oh, I found it - I'd actually seen this and somehow it slipped my mind amidst editing a manuscript and sundry other things. I'll definitely be there.

Shall I be seeing you and Mina at this Roman themed extravaganza? I will look forward to it even more! And I do not believe I have seen Amadeus, but then, I don't know many movies. I have at least heard of it.

Amadeus is great fun, interesting, tragic in places. It can also be a touch bawdy, but no more so than, say, the more whitewashed translations of The Cantebury Tales.

And I would love to attend! Consider me a guest, and I shall bring a popcorn steam-popper and some interesting sprinkle-toppings to go with the butter. (I'm mad for cheddar-herb popcorn, myself.)

So it would seem! We'll be there will bells on.

If you haven't seen Amadeus, then you really need to come.

Holy shit, I love you a little, because seriously: Amadeus is the bomb.

Of course it is! Everyone should see it at least once, even if that means they don't like it in the end.
