Luke's daycare

Dec 13, 2004 19:07

I guess this is a never ending thing, this parenting/worrying/concern thing. I guess I'm getting all this because he's pretty easy, as babies go, and sleeps well at night and has only really been sick once ( Read more... )

How would you feel about talking to Ana directly, if that woman is leaving anyway? Geez, this is the last thing you need to be dealing with right now. I'm sorry.

I'm not sure about talking to Ana. If its true is she then going to do more to Luke because I mention it? I'm leaning that way though, since Fatima (the one that told me all this) was not there yesterday morning and not there this morning. Makes me wonder.

Oh Viki, what a tough situation! It's hard enough leaving our little ones at daycare anyway, and now to deal with something like this! Based on what you said, my first thought is that the worker is mad at Ana bout something and it trying to get back at her, especially since Luke is not unhappy to go there. But like you said, you never know and you don't want to take any chances. Is it possible for you or Jack to drop in on her in the morning unannounced? Then maybe you can get an idea what is happening, although it is not the same as bugging Luke :)

I've got Jack dropping by this morning unannounced. I conveniently forgot Luke's bag this morning, didn't mention it, and told Jack to just drop by with the pretense of dropping it off. I'll get a report in a bit since its almost 9:30 and I told him to go like at 9:30 or 10ish.

Regarding the woman, she wasn't there yesterday or today. Maybe Ana let her go. I guess I'll know tomorrow if she still isn't there.

The more I think about it the more I trust Ana. There's only Ana and then she always has a helper. Yesterday and today was a different girl than the one she's had for a while, so maybe she let her go. Jack's dropping by this morning unannounced and if Fatima (the one who told me all this) isn't there tomorrow, then I will talk to Ana tomorrow afternoon (Jack picks Luke up early on Tuesdays for swimming.). Maybe I'll talk to her anyway if Fatima is there tomorrow morning.

Oh Viki - this is a tough one. There is no way you can ignore it. I agree that you need to drop in as soon as possible and I also think that you need to talk to Ana. What does your gut say? Do you trust her? Did you ask the other lady why she didn't speak up before? My heart breaks for you - no matter what happens to have to even contimplate that this may be happening to your child is heartbreaking.

The thought of someone hitting him just makes me furious. And of course they are going to cry when the door opens - they want to go outside - Nicholas does it all the time. I am so sorry this is happening to you and Luke. I hope you figure out what is going on and that it is just this horrible petty woman making up stories. Either way, knwo that I am thinking of you.

Jack should be dropping in soon, this morning some time, unannounced. I think we'll talk to Ana tomorrow, get Jack there with me. As I mentioned above I think my gut says to trust her. He's been there almost a year now and I've never seen a mark. He does seem happy there. I guess this lady has only been there for a month, so the first time she wasn't sure, the second time she knew it happened and then the 3rd week nothing happened, and then last week again something happened, so she said couldn't let it go anymore. I broke down and cried on the kitchen floor last night, Luke didn't know what to think, he did come over and give me hug, but he kept looking at me oddly, wondering why I was crying. Thanks Debbie.
