Why does loving someone have to hurt so badly?

I have decided that i no longer love the south. It doesnt have one single thing to do with the people, despite the nasty little jokes, southern people are by and large hard working and decent people. Like so many others, I am now a refugee. I am fortunate, however, I am housed in nice accomodations with electricity, cable, and hot food. Others, as I am sure you are aware, are not so fortunate.
