When I get woken up at 8 on a Saturday morning, I am fairly certain that there's something happening at home which requires my exclusive attention and which my highly resourceful and fiercely independent parents can't handle on their own. are you a software engineer?
do you work for infosys?

if the answer to both is no, then i can say that your online presence will AFFECT your chances. whether it betters or worsens your chances depends on what you write on your blog (i'm afraid i haven't read much of it). for example, if you are like me and abuse temples in your blog, then you'll know that it can affect only negatively.

I know for sure that his blog definitely improves his chances of dating a female Ron-Paul fan. And reduces chances to zero wrt all other females. ;-)

i too have been involved a couple of times in doing "due diligence". it's only been like "i saw this guy is 2 degrees away from you in orkut. what do y9ou know about him"
and "i hear this guy is from your school 2 years senior. do you know him?"

Ha ha ha!
Considering my parents are "looking for [a guy for] me" I am aware of this process. Leaves me completely red in the face and so pissed off.
But I do feel bad for the "detectives" roped in for the work *laughs*
Though, I do wish I were MIA and they were really "Looking" for me...!(rather than looking for a guy for me!)

I have also looked in orkut and facebook for the girls whose proposals have come to my cousin.. and when I don't find any profiles there I am really surprised. We have to come to expect every person of our age group to have an online presence.
