I'm thinking I may have to abandon my ascetic lifestyle. Though hedonism doesn't really suit me. Finding the right mix of pleasure, self-denial, and pain in my life is a tricky business indeed.

Today I bought a paper shredder since I can't burn papers in my back yard here in Boston like I did at home, and I'm tired of hording all of my old financial documents. I've decided, right here, right now, that I LOVE being a grad. student getting an MFA, no matter how impractical. COurse, all of the alcohol in my system helps matters muchly.
