Their numbers are growing. The other day when I was leaving the library, an alarm went off. They've found me. I can hear their hissing whispers outside my window. They are planning to release bowling-ball size spiders into my house. I think if I run out the back door, jump over the fence and cut through my neighbors yard --I can make it 3 blocks to the river before they catch up with me. I doubt they can swim very well. Since I last posted much has happened. I'm very sorry I was not able to contact any of you. I'm ok now. It has all been a protracted hallucination. The doctors have had me on Melleril and some other stuff. I really can't remember the past few months very well. They say I'm better now, and have released me. I have seen Gehenna, that horrific wasteland. My God what a ghastly world. For weeks I have been pursued by unspeakable evil. I have scaled towering peaks in perpetual red moonlight. I woke this morning to the sound of Violet crying. Her loud wails echoing through the old house chilled my blood as I threw on my robe and scurried down the stairs in a panic to look for her.
