I write in deep sorrow and shock knowing that Jesse Lopata, a true light of talent, humor, intelligence and all other good things, just passed away on Wednesday. Dad Update
My father and brother went to the oncologist yesterday to get further details about his condition, how aggressive his cancer is, etc. The news isn't the greatest, though not the worst. The cancer is far more aggressive than first anticipated. There is a very strong likelihood that it has progressed to his pelvic bone. So, he is getting started ( Read more... ) -

So, my dad has prostate cancer.
Yeah. He and I both found this out yesterday. I know it is one of the most treatable of them. The success rate of treatment is very, very high. Jenn's father had it and is in perfect health today.
