Sorry to be posting two things in one day- quite a major news event is affecting my family this week, and it's made me think...

I've recently been reading a book called "The Dress Lodger" by Sheri Holman. To be honest I can't really get into the story, because the perspective is odd... but it's amazingly interesting to read. I'll quote a few paragraphs here:

It's always creepy when you meet someone you've imagined, described but never actually seen before. There's a guy in my choir who I can't talk to because I'm so embarrassed at meeting. I'm sure if I called him Alaric he would answer.... anyone else ever met someone from their stories?

Book Reviews #1
Since this week has been half term I've spent a lot of time reading books from the big stack in my room. Three were good, one was outstanding.
"Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" by Lisa See is one of the most poignant books I've ever read. I read it in one go and cried for the last hundred pages.
