All are estimations...I kind of make potato salad by 'feel'

3-4 lbs red potatoes, (I vary which potatoes I use) quartered or eighthed into bite-size pieces.  Cover with cold water and cook until they'e done.  Drain, and put the steaming potatoes into a large bowl on top of:

1 cup-ish chopped celery (smallish pieces)
1/4 cup-ish very finely choped ( Read more... )

I think there are as many recipes for potato salad as there are people making it. This has something of a German PS to it.

I make a variation of my mother's, which is quite different from this.

Lynda's is the best ever, and I've had a lot of potato salads!

Well, honey, I 'get' that you like/love/adore it, and I'm certain that it's *very* good indeed! I *do* have some trouble with superlatives, however. My little mind just can't wrap itself around *anything* being the best in *any* category.

The world is too large - and we are too small. :)

It didn't taste vinegary.
I loved it and can make this version in Spain!
(We have a potato salad that uses vinegar and olive oil dressing.)

Thank you-ish! *hee*
I bet mine won't taste like yours because that's what happens to me.
Hopefully it will be lots better than the strawberries!!!

Sounds nice, I'll have to try it. Mine uses chopped bell peppers, red onion, carrots and boiled eggs and the dressing is half mayo/half creme fraiche. Also lashings of dill.
