MS sucks and so does insurance
My friend Sabrina has MS and it's definitely NOT in remission. And she has a $7500 deductible. And her treatments are over $4000 each. She needs them to stop the progression of her disease. She needs her meds so she can cope with the day to day pain and depression of living with MS. These meds are $216 a month. This sucks rocks. She needs help. It ( Read more... ) -

When are there too many words?
When I can't wrap my head around sitting with just a few of them at a time. In other words, I'm having terrible writer's clot. Yep, clot. there are a whole bunch of words stuck in me, all lumped together, and they are making all the other words back up. I'm home. Residency was amazing in so many ways, but I just don't have enough brain to articulate it right now. Perhaps spending my last night in Boston going on the Ghosts and Gravestones tour (SO good) AND closing down one of the VERY many Irish pubs, thus getting 2.5 hours of sleep, was not the best plan. Poetry for Bean
So, I wrote this a while ago and it's really just a personal poem, not one that I spent a great deal of time on or one that I expect to be published anytime in my next 17 lifetimes. But it seems appropriate to share this now in memory of Bean, who inspired much of it...especially the claws.
