Project Xerxes enters Release Candidate Phase
It seems we've hit "Baby Def Con 2". Whilecuddlyeconomist's gestational diabetes has been very well controlled with diet, we had an additional ultrasound done today most of the way through the 37th week. The baby's estimated weight is around 8#, which is a little high for this stage. Since DrB does not want a Cesarean, that probably means inducing sooner than the ( Read more... ) -

Cheesy-Moon
Back in April for Norwescon, cuddlyeconomist swapped Easter for the 4th of July holiday with Rhys' dad, dmbergman. Turning over a new leaf
So the plan for Monday was pretty low-key. We checked out of the Salish Lodge, packing up the remnants of the wedding decoration and some gifts. I had a quick coffee and got DrB a tea, we had energy bars for breakfast, a quick goodbye to my folks before they head to the airport, and we did a little browsing at the gift store before heading back ( Read more... ) -
Wedding: Critical Success
Saturday cuddlyeconomist and I had a great wedding at The Salish Lodge, and the hard work for the event paid off with a short & sweet little ceremony, excellent food, fun music, tasty Mike's Amazing Cakes (one fully sculptural; the other decorated with DrB's handmade royal icing flowers), cool games, and a wonderful assortment of our friends and family. Shed, Showers, and Thor
A very busy weekend indeed...
Friday our Garden Chalet kit arrived with it's own shipping skid. We got most of it together over the weekend, although I'm going to stain it to match the fence befor putting on the doors. It will provide that little extra bit of storage we need to keep the garden tools, mower, and such out of the garage.

Update
The last two weekends have been pretty quiet. Rhys' next visit is this coming weekend, so we mostly hung out at or close to home. I got a haircut, and actually a rather radical looking one.
