Was getting petrol tonight when I heard an horrible crash on Bowen Bridge Rd. Six cars were involved but luckily nobody was seriously injured. One of the cars, with a courier delivery driver, was hit from behind and catapulted probably 15 metres forward into the oncoming lanes. What sort of person thinks it's acceptable to do their shopping with a full-face helmet on?

ICU hasn't affected me to date, but today was a bit sad. A 90 year old man needed an x-ray for correct PICC line insertion, and he was just skin and bones. His skin was torn and bruised all over. I don't think I've ever seen anyone as frail as he was, and there was a large pool of blood which had soaked into the bed from the catheter insertion ( Read more... )

Just before, I was walking out of my lounge, into the back yard to have a cigarette and heard and then saw two men walking up the side access to face me. My immediate instinct was to yell, 'Who the fuck are you? What the fuck are you doing? are chase them as they ran. I made my first x-ray image today! of an Aluminium stepwedge.
50kVp at 4mAs on a 18 x 24cm detail cassette. Like a nauseating McDonald's slogan, I'm lovin' it.

I've also just bashed out six hundred words of utter wank, evaluating good and bad health communication skills in a transcript.

I just got a call from Mike regarding more filming work coming up soon. He's planning to shoot during a weekend, so that'll fit nicely around uni.

Finally, I've managed to memorise the difference between a synostosis, a synchondrosis, a syndesmosis, and a synarthrosis.
