WANderlust - Hong Kong 2015
Since B was going to be transiting in HK on her way back to NY, Y and I decided to have a short getaway with her. Given that we only had 4 days in HK, there wasn't time to do much because we also had some friends to meet.

WANderlust - Japan 2015
The family decided to go for a vacation in May last year. Given that it was with the family, I decided to save the hassle and go for a tour package. Based on the itineraries and available timings, we eventually settled for a 7 day Alpine route package with CTC Travel.

WANderlust - Hanoi, Sapa & Halong Bay 2015
We decided to visit Hanoi, Sapa & Halong Bay last year. I don't remember the reason why we decided to go but it was one of the best getaways ever.
We paid about 14 million VND for 3 of us for a customised package from Golden Sun Suites Hotel, which included- Pickup from airport

WANderlust - Penang 2014
Having seen so much about Penang on television, I finally made a trip in April to see (and taste) first hand what Penang has to offer. We got a pretty good deal on Air Asia and it was off to Penang for 4 days with my mom.

WANderlust - Myanmar 2014
After our successful Siem Reap adventure the year before, LF suggested heading to Myanmar for our girls' trip this time round and that's how 4 girls ended up travelling to Inle, Bagan and Yangon for a week.

WANderlust - Hong Kong 2014
I had previously been in Hong Kong for work twice, but never for leisure. Last year, I got lucky and managed to spend a couple of days in Hong Kong for leisure.
The first trip was enroute to Singapore from Nanjing where I spent 3 short days.

Goodbye Ah Gong
Goodbye my ironman grandfather, my strong silent Teochew Ah Gong who- was fitter than everyone else in the family (including his grandchildren),
- had a head of black hair with black eyebrows (i had more white hair than him),
- lived a life of frugality for himself while ensuring others were taken care of,

One of the things I really wanted to do this year is to make a conscious effort to show more appreciation for the things people do around me - not just friends and family but essentially anyone around who has done something praiseworthy.

I had a really stressful Monday but on hindsight, things went well and it's yet another reminder of how weak I am, and how abundant His grace is. The trick really, is to be thankful for the little things and these are the things that keep me going in such times. -
