We are on week 3. I'm exhausted. My classes have been great. I love my staff. I hate having to organize and I REALLY hate the local music shop. Phew!! Thank God tomorrows friday! This week was our first week at school. So far I'm VERY happy, but also VERY overwhelmed. I can tell that this year is going to sooooo much better then the last 2 years. Because I can focus on one school I feel much more organized and together. Well it's almost the end of August. So far I have painted the bathroom and the master bedroom. I'm working on the guest room right now, but it's hard with all the crap still in there. Man the more I think about the more terrible to feel. I just hate the fact that I can't say goodbye to my students. They don't even know that I'm not going to be there next year. I am the new band teacher at Jefferson Middle School in Indio, CA. Now I get to be close to my honey, make slightly more money, and melt in the desert sun. I feel like I just had the best concert with my kids tonight. It was very high energy, ran smoothly, and had very few of those "just had to happen at the concert" moments.
