My visa and my Go-Ahead came through, so on Saturday night I board a plane for Israel.

I'm home recovering from the surgery. Everything seems to have gone very well. I was afraid that I was going to have trouble because I worked the last two nights and hadn't managed much sleep during the day. As it was, I pretty much fell asleep during the prep. Thankfully, the fact that I was so behind on sleep made it easier to fall asleep ( Read more... )

Starting tomorrow night, I'll be working on a Pakistani work-day schedule (10:30pm EST - 6:30am EST).

My really big news, though, is that on Tuesday morning I go under the laser to get my vision corrected. I can not wait to be free of my glasses.

So, in my 17 days in Cairo, I lost 15 pounds.

All that and I was healthy the whole trip. I think that I either need to move to the desert, or else start eating lebanese food more often at home.

Everywhere I go, it seems, crazy things happen.

Yup, I'm in Egypt, yup there was a bombing in Dahab. Despite vacation plans, I wasn't there, I was in Luxor. I'm still alive and kicking. Just spreading the word.

I just slept for 20 hours.

I think maybe I was a little worn out.
