I'm getting middle-agedly sick (gastritis, which I've never had before because I was a carefree youth who could live however I wanted without physical repercussions) and not enjoying it. Today I slept almost all day because I didn't feel like doing anything. Starting Friday I'll work eight days in a row because the workload optimizing software likes doing shit like that. Having time off makes it even easier to avoid doing things. So efficient at that.
I'm supposed to be writing about my feelings, but the Penguins traded for David Perron, who then rocked into CONSOL looking like a member of Depeche Mode (in the early nineties, not now. Kid's only 27). I'm thrilled.

What We Learned
Someone has written a Crosby/Malkin story set during the Finnish Winter War. Like, I'm intrigued, sure, but also apprehensive. Also, I don't know if you've notice this, but neither of them are Finnish. Crosby must be a Canadian volunteer (I think there were some? There were British ones, at least.) The season of frantic last-minute present frenzy. I think we're in pretty good shape, although I still have to knit a cushion cover for mum and have not settled on a pattern beyond 'it should cover this cushion'. I made a sweater for my niece:
