*Sniper is on his porch with his bow drawn. He suspects this is a trick which is the only reason he hasn't shot the little moose yet. But he will soon, and he has damn good aim.*

[The moose is engaged in eating some shrubbery and doesn't notice the imminent danger. That doesn't mean that the nation approaching doesn't see it, though.]

You had better not be planning on shooting that moose, good sir!

*Sniper barely glances at Canada, keeping all his attention on the moose instead. He'd never eaten moose before, maybe it tastes like venison.*

Why th' hell not? It's eatin' my shrubs ain't it? Sides, there's nothin' t' hunt here.

I'm very sorry about him, really, but if you hurt my moose I'm going to have to make your life miserable.

[She heads straight over to the calf's side, looking pointedly at the man on the porch. While she likely doesn't look terribly threatening, in her housedress and pigtails, but you shouldn't assume she's harmless.]

He's yer pet?

*Reluctantly Sniper lowers the bow. Drat. He had mentally prepared how he was going to cook that thing and everything.*

Hn. Foine. Knew it was too good t' be true that this would jus' wander into my yard.

Yes, he's mine. [And he's getting a little pat on the head.]

I really am sorry about your shrubs. If there's any reasonable way to make it up to you, please let me know.

Oh. Well... why not? They make perfectly good companions.

Because people don't generally keep wild animals as pets. Specially.. giant ones. He's little now, but he's gonna get real big, real fast.

*And would look lovely on Sniper's wall.*

Well he can 'ave those bushes. Sorry I troid t' shoot him didn't think he'd be someone's pet.

*He's a bit frustrated now. All these arrows and nothing to shoot.*

Apology accepted. [Canada nods, then pats the moose on the head, as if to relay that to him.]

I realize that a good many folk are fairly trigger happy, but I don't think this place has the sort of wildlife where hunting is ever really an option.

*He still doesn't get why someone would keep something edible as a pet.*

Maybe you can practice shooting something else, if you're so antsy?
