A/N: I'm sorry this is a really short chapter guys. I've got my exams starting tomorrow and so I haven't been able to write much, but I still want to update regularly. This chapter is pure plot, just to get the storyline moving along. Hope you enjoy whats coming up xxx

Minho POV

Breakfast is painfully awkward. Key and Onew just have guilt written all over their faces. Jonghyun looks sad, but in a peaceful way, as if he'd accepted everything. When I asked him how he felt earlier this morning he told me not to worry about him because he already dealt with his pain. I'm not sure what he means, but I know that if he was hurting, he wouldn't hide it. I have no idea what's going on in his mind, but for some reason I know I don't have to worry about him too much. I'm more worried about Taemin at the moment. I can't wait till the stupid meeting is over so I can go and be with him.

After a silent car ride we walk in to the SM entertainment building. We greet manager hyung, finally he's going to tell us why we're here. We sit at a big table with about 20 seats, though there's only the four of us, manager hyung and three other staff who attend the meeting.

"You boys seem tense today, not your usual selves."

None of us say anything. Usually Onew is the one to speak for us, and if he doesn't then Jonghyun or Key take his place. Being the maknae, I don't usually take an active part in these discussions. But given today's circumstances I guess it's up to me.

"Sorry, we didn't get much sleep last night."

"Oh."

He looks pissed off. He has a right to be. Since we gained success and popularity as soon as we debuted, and because of our hard work the company has been very flexible with us. They no longer have staff in the dorm to look after us, and they've taken away our curfew. We were so thankful and we promised that we wouldn't take advantage of it, and we never do. Last night was a special circumstance, but it's not like we could explain what happened.

"Boys. You know I care for you like you're my own children, but I need to get tough with you. SHINee has been doing okay. Now that the Lucifer promotions are over, fans are looking for something new. There have been a lot of groups debuting lately from YG and JYP. Some are crap, but it seems that some really have potential. We have a loyal fan base, but we need to give them a treat."

"What can we do?" Onew speaks up. "We're busy with preparations for our solo concert, I think it will be a big hit with the fans."

"Yes, but the concert is months away." One of the staff notes. "We need SHINee to keep appearing in public, so we can build up excitement for the concert and let it explode on stage."

Another staff cuts in. "Recently SHINee hasn't been in many variety shows. The many charismatic performances of Lucifer have entertained the fans but it's left out the fun youthful side of SHINee."

Key adds in "Recently I looked online and found that some of our fans say we're becoming robotic. I think we should do something like Hello Baby again. It was a bit hit right?"

"Yes Hello Baby is the kind of thing we're going for. We want fans to see a kind, loving side of SHINee. A big reason behind your popularity is your youthful, playful but sincere images. Also Onew has been the most popular with ratings lately because of his caring personalities. Fans want to see that you guys are kind."

"Your recent filming of Star King has been really successful. This is because Lee Taemin is exactly what fans are looking for these days."

"Hey I still haven't seen the recording!" Jonghyun suddenly adds in. "Isn't he on the radio right now? Can we listen?"

"Bring us a radio please! Put Chinchin radio station on." Manager hyung tells one of the staff.

We listen to Taemin tell his story again. It hurt to hear him crying over the radio. I so badly wanted to get up, run to the radio station and comfort him again. I look around the room, and see that Jonghyun is wiping tears from his eyes. Key seems to be crying again, the female staff member is crying and the manager has a serious look on his face. Now they're asking him a few questions about SHINee. Yay I really want to know more about what he thinks of me… I mean us

"So Taemin, yesterday you said that Key was your favourite member. Has it always been Key?"

Key's grinning at me like an idiot…

"Umm, well I think Key is extremely talented like I said. In their recent promotions I like Key's style, umm but with each song each member has a particular look and style that I like. So it kind of changes."

Well, I'm kind of satisfied with that answer. It doesn't tell me that much, but it tells me that Key isn't his ultimate favourite.

We finish listening to the radio broadcast, which is filled with more SHINee questions. Given on what Taemin said about idol life yesterday, I'm thinking he's not too happy about it. Hopefully this meeting will be over soon. I can't wait to see him.

Jonghyun POV

Now I know what the big deal was about. Taemin, is just so brave. When I met him yesterday I had no idea that he's been through so much. Even though I think Taemin is amazingly hot I'm definitely not going to tread on Minho's feet. I can tell Minho likes him, and I'm sure they would make a great couple. And anyways I have Key. Well, no I don't, Onew has Key. And I just realised how short life is. Should I really spend it chasing after someone who has always found the guy he wants to spend the rest of his life with?

When I zoned back in to the conversation I hear Minho suggesting some kind of big charity performance with the whole of SM entertainment to try and raise money for Taemin's cause. Now I definitely know he likes Taemin, because Minho never speaks up in meetings unless there's something that he really wants to do. And he really wants to help Taemin.

"We can't really hold a whole SM concert just for Taemin. Everyone has their own schedules, it would take over a year to plan."

I look over at Minho and he seems to be texting someone. Then I reluctantly look over at Key and Onew. Maybe, maybe it does make sense that they're together. I love Key so much, but if I'm honest with myself then Onew would be better for him than I would. Me and Key, our personalities would clash since we're both loud , stubborn and opinionated. That's what makes us such great friends. But Onew would be able to handle Key's temper tantrums, and make sure that he makes sensible decisions. Key can teach Onew how to be more… graceful and nurse him to health whenever he gets hurt (which is all the time).

I think back to the times me and Key would feed ducks in the park together. Right from the beginning when we debuted, we were the best of friends. I slowly started to fall in love with him, and finally last week when I confessed to him, Onew had the exact same idea in mind. Neither of us saw it coming. My mind flashes back to yesterday in the park, when I was trying to convince Key to pick me. I told him that I loved him, and then kissed him. But maybe that's the problem. Maybe I let my actions do the talking too much. I remember how excited I felt when he told me he wanted to meet me. I can't even remember what I was doing before he texted me...

"Why don't do a variety show with him or something?" I hear Key's voice, which makes me zone back in.

And then it hits me. Before Key texted me I was watching the most amazing dancer I've ever seen.

"TAEMIN CAN DANCE!!!"

Every looks shocked at my sudden outburst.

"Oh I'm sorry everyone. I mean, yesterday I saw Taemin in the park. He was just free-styling with some of those b-boys. But boy he was amazing."

There are mixed reactions in the room. Generally the staff and manager hyung look surprised. Minho looks pleased, Key looks proud and Onew looks confused.

One of the staff breaks the silence. "If Taemin can dance, then it's possible to have a special stage featuring him. We can use Minho's idea and raise money for Taemin's "Hope is around the corner" campaign."

We all look at manager hyung. "You guys, I just don't think a special stage is going to cut it."

Dammit it was worth a shot.

He continues, "SHINee really needs to update their image. You have your first solo concert coming up right? Jonghyun, if Taemin is as good as you say he is, then let's make it a whole charity concert. SHINee solo concert featuring Lee Taemin."

"That could work. We don't know if he can dance, or how good he is. But if need be we can move the concert to a bigger venue to allow more fans in. Either we can charge extra for tickets, or we can allow fans to donate as much as they want."

"It could be great. Taemin has gotten so much popularity within the short time he's spent in Korea. Right now Chinchin radio's ratings are sky rocketing because of him."

The staff are really getting into in. Minho looks delighted.

"But didn't you say the concert was months away?" Key's so observant. "I mean didn't you say that we have to keep the fans excited for the concert?"

"Yes but once we officially affiliate SHINee with Taemin, and release news of the special project we can schedule interviews and appearances. I'm sure it will be popular."

"Okay then. Let's go find that boy, and see if he can dance." And with that, manager hyung concludes the meeting.
