Why have I never noticed people putting ashes on their forehead on Ash Wednesday until yesterday? Is this becoming a more popular thing to do or have I really not been paying attention?

I don't really care for the sport, but I always enjoy the holiday-ish feel of Superbowl day. It's reeeaally quiet around here today. Also it's 2:30 and I'm still in my pajamas.

HOW does the iPod know how to choose tracks that segue perfectly from the previous song? It's uncanny how well the songs transition from one mood to the next sometimes. I just watched Children of Men and if there was any possible way for me to be absorbed into the seat during the course of the movie, I think it would have happened (that translates to me, cringing dramatically into the seat in response to its extreme intensity). Apparently job-hunting doesn't always have to be a tortuous and frustrating endeavor. I submitted a couple resumes online on Monday or Tuesday night of last week, and by Friday morning of the same week, I was being given my paperwork and instructions for my new tutoring job! A couple of years ago, my parents planted a miniature Valencia orange tree in the backyard. This year it is finally bearing fruit, and these oranges are some of the juiciest, sweetest, orangey-tasting oranges I've ever had.
