[Clear night. Most nights in Discedo are, right now; he's not expecting that to last.
Not having bothered to answer Minamimoto's whinging over the network, Mello's taking all those stairs for the umpteenth time in as many days; he's pretty fit, so he arrives only somewhat winded.
It's chilly on the roof, but it's got a good view and few places to hide. He shrugs further into his jacket when he steps out, but raises his head to look for the mathematician, whichever shadow he and his outfit have managed to get lost in.]

[He shakes his head.]
Taboo Noise are created from soul, but the personality and the mind are usually lost in the process. The probability of my success was zetta low, but taking risks has its rewards. I zetta doubt that the process can be reversed; once the Soul becomes a Noise, it stays a Noise until it is eradicated permanently.
... No, I don't have any more. The derivation of the factor didn't give me information beyond the technique to refine them.

It is. Could be zetta exciting at times.
[He thinks. Did he ever give a name? Minamimoto didn't even think of names at the time. If someone was willing to teach him some secret factors, he'd learn it.]

[He spends several moments collecting his thoughts. ]
Planet's name is Fortuna. Discedo was destroyed by some virus; almost zetta positive our stupid 000s were involved in trying to stop the pandemic. From the looks of it, at least Accido was eradicated as well. From what I heard upon arriving, we're here to repopulate the city ... or some variable of that nature. Once we leave, we go back to the point in time from which we were taken. So if you were dead then, you're zetta dead when you go back.
As for the scientists, I've spoken to 50% of the group. One was male and the other a female after the 'accident' with the chip. There is another female, not Lolita or the bitch, that most of the zetta morons here seem fond of. She is more willing to answer questions than the others on occasion, from what I have observed. The scientists' coordinates are probably somewhere obscure that none of these radians will think of. My hypothesis is the sewers.
Heh, there's 75% probability you already collected most of this data, am I correct?
COMMENTLOG.whatthefactorOctober 31 2008, 18:33:42 UTC
Point taken.
[He 'hm's. It might not be in his best interest to give away these plans, but getting the chip out is all that matters to Minamimoto now.]
Well, I think this place zetta sucks, but I intend to stay if given the choice to leave. Being dead is zetta useless. It has too much potential to just ignore. Immediate equations include getting this chip out zetta obviously and after my abilities are fully under my control: traveling back to Accido, seeing if there are any useful variables there, and search for the possible locations of our zetta beloved scientists. More distant plans include climbing to the zetta highest point.
[Well, staying by choice (so to speak) is one thing they have in common, although Mello has no intention of making that known.
Details, details.]
What's your teleportation range? Think you can warp back to Accido?
[It's worth a shot, after all. Anything goes, at this point.]
Do you have details for these plans to search out the scientists and climb to the top? [Somehow, he doubts the mathematician has thought very far ahead; he seems the type to make it up as he goes along, to a certain extent, for better or for worse. Not very calculative, to be sure.]

Smaller objects--for example a bullhorn--I'm know is possible from experience. Another person ... huh, haven't tried that variable yet. [Smirks.] But if said person is willing to take a risk, I'd be zetta willing to experiment.
[Sho laughs.]
Oh, no. It is merely a simple equation to start out with. More complex factors will be added over time. I don't know enough about the scientists yet, and I'm not going to make the same miscalculation twice.

Do or die; sounds like the norm in this UG of yours.
By the by--does this 'derivation of the factor' have a name?

[He thinks. Did he ever give a name? Minamimoto didn't even think of names at the time. If someone was willing to teach him some secret factors, he'd learn it.]
... Hmm... I think the radian went by 'H'?
Reply
[Thoughtfully; he's already done with the topic. Minamimoto doesn't seem to know much more, and Mello's satisfied for the moment.
Enough pleasantries.]
So, you woke up here after getting--what was it--crunched?
Reply
[He is outwardly calm. Internally, however, the mathematician feels the upmost desire to burn the other side of the stupid 000's face.]
... Yeah, you could say that.
Reply
[And they arrive at the present; or close to it. Mello settles back, stretches and clears his head--further clarification can come later.
All right.]
Let's talk scientists, then.

[He quirks a brow with a slight smirk.]
Hmm, what about those factoring hectopascals?

I'm going to throw that question back at you. Their persons, their schemes, this city... How much do you know?

You got me. But I needed to know how much you knew--in that sense, it's new data.
So, based on all of that, I want to know your opinions on this shit--and any plans you have in mind.

[He comes up with plans fairly quickly. If something went wrong, then he'd calculate with an alternative almost immediately.]
Factor the more immediate plans into the equation and solve.

[And, have a raised eyebrow. Crude, but potentially effective. That is, if you didn't factor in--]
And what makes you think that's a true equality?
