I feel like I've asked you this before but how long did it takes for you to figure out all your characters? It's so hard for me to envision Ji & Top's personalities for different fics because I always have one or two impressions firmly emblazoned in my mind. I love how the stench of the coffee layers over everything else from that night... it's so symbolic. Like a lot of things happened that night which led to the liquor, cheap fragrance and vomit, but it was the affair at Seunghyun's that made the best and most memorable impact. Kudos to you, this is remarkable. :) I wish you'd write a book or something.

it's okay! hmm, i guess it's just from being in fandom for a while and digesting lots of news articles and videos with big bang/gd&top in them. of course that kind of thing only shows a sliver of what their actual personalities are like, but i think for fic that's all you need. you can do the guesswork afterwards and build on a personality based on your gut feelings, if that makes sense?

i get what you mean about different situations and their personalities. i guess the best advice i can give you is that someone's dominant personality trait won't necessarily show up depending on the fic, you know? like if you're writing something about top recording music, his dorky side will be in check and his more professional side will show up and you can write about that instead and keep that in the background. i guess it's all about juggling which parts of a character to show at what times. augh i'm not sure if i'm explaining myself correctly, but i hope that was helpful? idk D:
