hon, I know how you feel. Believe me, i do. There have been times when I wish I could just end it all. Depression is a fucked up thing, because it just doesn't make any sense at all. Even things that are supposed to make us happy seem meaningless when we're depressed
( ... )
Midnight is very right. Depression makes no sense at all and it's difficult to deal with. And if it's any consolation to you, there are students you've had who really respect you, myself included, who are happy that you're here and that they've been lucky enough to have you for class. We care about you more than you know.
And you should look forward to writing. It's a great activity. What kind are you planning on doing, scholarly stuff or maybe some awesome science fiction? I'd be interested in reading it.
Iam stuck in a very dark place righ now; I hope you never have to be someplace like this. ' But it is infinitely good to hear that youcare, adn that you learned fromme, adn that I made a difference

I am too scared to go cuz I am movcing in less than a momth and I have heard horror stories where you are in for six months, they won't let you out even if you voluntarily signed in, which I WOULD if I could leave in time for Texas.

okay, but
1. you won't be in for six months. you might be in for a few weeks, enough time for them to adjust meds (and you don't have to accept meds)
2. you can move to texas anytime - the important thing is to take care of yourself...no worries about others. your husband is competent, he can move the family to texas, and you can join him when you get well
3. you could sign yourself into a hospital in corpus, so you'll be there already
4. you can find an outpatient program to sign into now
this is serious - emdr is fine, but AT LEAST get a good therapist right away, if you're not willing to sign into a hospital. don't fuck around!
