I don't get the difficulty in understanding what constitutes plagiarism. I'm amazed at the justifications for it. The latest posted on Dear Author in which the magazine Cook's Source lifts a blogger's article, makes some changes and calls it their own. The Pioneer Woman blog is posting galleries of photos of military personnel coming home in honor of Memorial Day here in the U.S. The photos are submitted by various people and include some of the more somber homecomings. Got this from JasmineR at Romance Divas. It isn't specific to romance, so go out and give it a try. It's fun. They use a simple algorithm to determine if your "voice" in the writing is male or female. You just post a scene and click where instructed. I do my best to paint with words but don't consider myself a visually inspired person. Also, I can't draw to save my life--not even stick figures. It's why I'm hugely admiring of artists, not only for their talent and skill but for that internal mechanism which I think they're born with that allows them to see the world in such creative ways.
