really? it looks like it would be so awful and cheesy! and not in a fun way. did you go in with no expectations? I think that makes a huge difference. rusty wants to go, but I've been resisting.
really! i avoided all media coverage of it for this specific reason. marketing campaigns can really taint your perception of a movie. i went in knowing that some "thing" attacks nyc & the movie is about these people with a video camera trying to escape.

for reals. that shit had me bugging out in my seat. i even enjoyed it being surrounded by a crowded theater of very opinionated high school kids who were yelling and throwing things. i think i actually liked the ending better because it made everyone in the theater scream "BULLSHIT" and throw their popcorn at the screen. it made the wife sick due to all of the jerky camera movements.
it wasn't a fucking movie, it was a goddamned experience.

i had some motion sickness after the movie, but an ihop dinner fixed that one quickly.
