so, my dear brother james signed up for the navy yesterday. he's going to do medical stuff. i am beside myself. i AM very proud of him, but on the other hand i just don't want to risk losing him. okay, yes, it's the navy, but you never know what will happen. i'm just going to try to be the best big sister i can & support his decision. at least he' ( Read more... )

my friend rebekah from college joined the navy to do medical stuff too. she lived in japan for awhile, then san diego, then back to japan, & now she's in yemen.

I wouldn't be worried about lossing him. No one shoots medics and he's Navy, he has more chances of freezing on ship then blown up by terrorist. He's safe.
