Project: Retrofit
I'm finding it difficult to find a proper replacement for the Saturn. Nothing currently in production is as easy to maintain, fuel efficient, or resistant to dents. Door weatherstripping
One of our doors is warped, allowing a persistent cold draft to enter the house. Installing seasonal weatherstripping tape is at best a temporary solution and a weekly nuisance to reseat.
My permanent solution is to install a new door stop with integrated weatherstrip. Home Depot carries a manufactured kit but I am unwilling to pay $22 each. Mine ( Read more... ) -

I'm having the new computer itch again; this time for a faster notebook/tablet/portable. After 6 years of service, my trusty HP Pavilion dv1000 still runs well albeit slowly, has a beautiful display and could not be sold to gain me enough money to buy a new computer. Intrusion Prevention System - cost analysis
I've been wanting an Atom D510 desktop for some time, and thought I could finally justify one. The idea was to buy an energy efficient nettop to use as a network intrusion detection system (NIDS) / network intrusion prevention system (NIPS). The issue is I have several relatively fast systems (1.5+GHz) lying around the house.
