That's incredibly rude of people! Is there any sort of parking enforcement you could call to report them?

There's parking restrictions and traffic wardens during the day, but nothing at night when we really need them. I don't care if people want to park outside my house to use the shops when I'm at work - there are usually plenty of spaces then.

I should clarify that the spaces aren't individually marked out, just long (and a few fairly short) stretches to squeeze in as many vehicles as possible, and the only things the wardens seem to care about are that the cars have the right permit for the zone, and that they're parked within the parking area (just being slightly over the lines results in a ticket). Unfortunately, they do tend to start much earlier in the morning than I do, which is why I'm not willing to risk leaving my car parked half out of the space at the end of a row overnight.
