My grandmother, Betsy Choy Murray, died at 12:15AM on Wednesday, January 18. She was 71 years old. She lost her second battle with cancer, but she was a fighter. • getting ZERO sleep

THURSDAY

• leaving at 6AM and listening to Sonic & Katamari music the whole way
• still not sleeping at all

• absolutely demolished a meaningful relationship with someone close to me and ruined any chance of restoring things to the way they were
• grandmother got cancer AGAIN
• MONTHLY BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS
• daily reminders that I'm going to die alone and not even mai waifu will be there

on the flipside:

• met two new best friends

- Spent Thanksgiving in an ER. Got a blood transfusion. Got two hours of sleep that night. Usual hospital shit.

So it's almost been a year since a very dear friend of mine passed away and left a void in all of our lives. It's been a rough year, and with the holiday season already here (wtf) she's been on my mind more than usual. She, alongside her fiancee, loved Assassin's Creed, so playing Revelations is a somewhat bitter pill to swallow.

It's my grandmother's birthday this week. She's going to Cache Creek to gamble because it's one of the few activities she can still revel in after three battles with cancer. It's also my stepfather's birthday this week. He died earlier this year. I never got to reconcile with him after 6 years of silence.
