Brand New Day
Coming up on a year gone from the 7th floor cubicle. Detoxification is coming nicely. Corporate Culture is nearing total de-saturation. Well, we didn't sleep very well last night, A with a bad case of heartburn, so we ended up getting out of bed about 4:00. We went out on the porch, trying to coax some sleepiness, but all we ended up realizing was that we were starving. Death and the Downstairs Neighbor
John, our downstairs neighbor died in the backseat of his car, last night around 10:35 pm. Audra and Oriah found him after returning from bart around noon. So, I went to the local cycle shop to get the back tire of Audra's bike fixed. It's a nice sized shop, and as I'm waiting, milling around the store, I overhear this enterchange between the two bike mechanics in the back: Singing with full voice... " CAN ADA..... It's Been a Year

Why I Love Vacation
Vacation-when I don't have to go to bed until I can't keep my eyes open anymore. Staying in bed hours later than I am usually allowed. Playing video games for hours on end. Taking naps in the middle of the day. Catching up on my journaling. Cleaning up rooms and crannies I've been avoiding for months/years.

Death and the Smiling Green Car
We killed the car today. We didn't mean to, and we are bruised and battered. The air bags deployed and marked me with the impact and minor facial chemical burns.
