[Lucas stares at the note for nearly 5 minutes straight after he receives it. His face goes as white as a sheet. This was . . . a hundred times worse than he had thought. When his brain stops feeling like it's wrapped in marshmallow fluff, Lucas runs for the phone.]
Mr. Netherlands! Mr. Netherlands!
[He yells until he is nearly hoarse. Maybe another family member, either his own, or the Netherlands's, will hear? But otherwise . . . Lucas wipes away the beginnings of his tears, folds the note into his pocket, and grimly walks upstairs. He will be skipping school today and calling the Netherlands's residence every hour. He would not interfere. He trusted the man to come out safe. But he would sure as heck worry like hell.]
He. Is he -- Has he gone yet? He . . . But of course he did. . .
[Well that was silly. Of course he'd already left if he'd put the note in Lucas's mailbox. He'd just . . . wanted to talk to the man so badly before he did anything rash that he hadn't really thought about it.]
[Netherlands won't know it, won't see it, but what China does upon checking his mailbox is carefully tuck the letter and key away in his pocket and leaves, immediately, for Taiwan's house. He takes nothing except his loaded gun and leaves no note of his own to explain where he's gone.

[He scribbles a note to leave on the counter in an envelope addressed to Rika and Coraline:
Out with Netherlands.
If I get droned, dinner's in the fridge! See you!

And then he leaves for the pharmacy.]

[He looks far less concerned; actually, he looks a bit more cheerful than he has in a while.]

Expect her to spend the next three hours trying repeatedly to call his house. Dammit, Netherlands, answer!*
