Maybe your house is built over buried treasure. Why else would the school be sending you those horrible surprises? They obviously want you to buy a private home so that they can dig for the jewels.
Seriously though, that's awful. I think it's worse waking up to discover that there is some sort of plumber poking around your bathroom at the request of the landlord at 8:00 in the morning on a Saturday, but it probably isn't as bad once the shock wears off. They stole your trees (their trees). I'd probably be upset by that, and if I were littler, I'd probably have some sort of tantrum.

You know, you may have a point. Although you'd think they'd have taken advantage of the time we spent in NH to dig up the treasure. Or, you know, let us move on campus like we've been wanting to for years.

Hey, that kind of happened to me last year. They decided to turn half of the front lawn of my dorm in to a parking lot and not tell anyone about it. So at 8 on a Saturday morning there were chainsaws outside my window and poof! Three weeks later we no longer had a lawn. There was much howling.

nuu! the xmas lights!..... well at least you don't have to share a wall right now with four+ rambunctious guys playing thumping rap music and video games at nearly midnight.... i'll be retreating to the far side of my bedroom with headphones and music if this keeps up for more than a half-hour
