Anybody have any experience with antennae for wireless cards? Do they help substantially in getting a good signal from nearby networks? I ask because the new laptop has found some open networks down by the beach, but the signal is spotty from each. Yes, yes, I know, my life is rough.

While searching for a venture capital company I met with at a conference last week, an "AD&D" site came up. Never able to resist game-related links, I clicked on it. Much to my surprise, AD&D apparently has a second meaning:
