Happy New Year
The year started out pretty poorly with the passing of Mark's Dad. It come quickly and devastated him. Of course, it doesn't help that he comes from a family of boys who don't believe in speaking of emotions and most importantly, don't believe in speaking of emotions to each other. Things are going well. I am extremely relieved that my pool party is over. I like to do it, but I stress over it and plan for weeks in advance, so it's good to have it over. Anniversary
How absolutely amazing it is that I have now been married for two years. It seems like Mark has been with me forever and yet the time has passed in the blink of an eye. So, this past week we decided to try out a holistic vet for Cotton's progressing arthritis. She had taken to panting all the time, even when it was not hot, and we figured that it must be from pain. Castle Hill
So, I keep an eye on what's going on at Castle Hill and when they had a special offer for a mid-week stay, I decided that it was as good a time as any for Mark and me to return to the place where we got married. Aralis
For all of my fear that Aralis would be miserable due to the weather, it was actually quite excellent. Some last minute shenanigans allowed us to swap the tavern building into a larger cabin which was key to making my weekend awesome. I have to admit that I am not looking forward to Aralis. And, sadly, that is more to do with the weather than just about anything else. The current forecast is for a low of 36 degrees on Friday night. Brrrrr. And then rain and snow (periods heavy) on Saturday. So, I'm looking for people's opinions on what the tavern at Aralis serves. If possible, I am looking to limit options for my own ease, but if there are things that we do not serve that the general public would like to see, let me know.
