Don't forget every now and then, to just...look up
Standing
firmly feet planted
chin tilted up to the skies
reflecting the dance of clouds
across green gold eyes -
All too soon
another Year into the archives of life -
dreaming awake
I've been walking, working, driving,
typing, watching, writing, talking
but in spite of all my motion
i am floating in stillness within
encompassed by calm
drifting wide eyed
a waking dreamer -
poor little journal
left to its own devices has become unpaid. I am such a terrible journal owner, no wonder I can't keep plants alive.

Left over halloween candy corn sitting near my desk...
the scent of it is overwhelming me

as to allow it free reign

pleasure from pain
embrace the shift
wings tear free
rending
shredding
unfurling
bloody pinions drying in the rays of a new dawn
shivering and uncertain
yet ready for flight -
how did i get here
buffeted about
ups and downs once again abound
been awhile since last i put pixel to this page, but the month wanes
and it has been a rough one.
