This afternoon I called out a critical Blood Alcohol level to one of our local hospitals. It was .50. .50! The legal limit is .08! How does that even happen? And he was only thirty-eight. You've got to know that's the results of years of alcoholism. It makes me sad and angry all at once. -

Has anyone read Wiseguys by Nicholas Pileggi? I've been thinking of picking it up over the holidays ever since we watched Goodfellas in class. But wasn't sure if I should attempt using the freakishly small amount of vacation time I have on that, or something else. ( Read more... ) -
