Fascinating case today. Every once in a while we get a Cursebreaker in here but this is the first time I've worked on one in a few years -- he sustained multiple crush injuries on a curse site and his femur fracture not only broke the skin but in fact the exposed femur actually impaled him through the chest ( Read more... )

Sometimes I doubt whether I picked the right specialty.

Then I get to do something brilliant and orthopaedic like fix dislocated shoulders with my bare hands, and I remember. Nothing quite like the crunch of bones in the morning.

I can't believe I'm saying this but Carrie's been home with Bryce since the two of them got home a week ago. I managed to pry him out of her hands for a few minutes on Sunday. Good-looking kid.
