Shortly after returning home from New Zealand last summer, I was at a gas station attempting to put air in my low tires. I had the hose all hooked up, but the tire just kept getting flatter, and after several minutes of freaking out, I called Steve. I was mid-nervous breakdown when Steve asks if I'd tried pushing the "Start" button, just as I saw ( Read more... )

bicycles tires are the same way... did you notice that when you were younger? you can take the valve stem caps off and they'll be fine. :-) same goes for car tires.

note: and i only mention this because if you HAD moved your car, and still couldn't find the cap, you would have been OK regardless.

you could even buy some of these:

Would you like me to show you how to do even more manly stuff with your car like oil changes, replacing tires, tune-ups, brakes, refrigerant re-charging, etc. Trust me I wasn't mechanically inclined until a couple years ago and I figure if I can learn that type of stuff, then anyone can :-)

I just wanted you to know that I seem to encounter horrible problems when it comes to putting air in my tires. I either let all the air out or overfill them like crazy. I specifically remember one time while on my knees at the gas station, trying to find that damn cap, with my ass sticking up in the air facing the street and two old men honked at me and asked me if i wanted help. Since that day, I've always told Brian that it was his job to put the air in my tires.
