So is it really all that unrealistic that when someone does something heinous enough to warrant being cut out of your life, you require them to understand what they did that hurt you and possibly show some remorse before letting them back in?

At the end of last summer, I found a new(er) ice cream maker at the local thrift store. It was the design where you freeze the specially made bowl, which was an upgrade compared to the old ice and salt system I use to use. I got out to see Star Trek last night, and though I enjoyed the movie, I was a little let down. As movies go, it was a good movie. The characters were well developed, there was emotional depth, and the action was paced to keep attention while not overloading or degrading into gore.
