1 and 2: 2 books (i'd choose my one of my favorite fiction books and another book on quantum physics or superstring theory)
3: TI-89 graphing calculator
4: an Ani DiFranco cd (probably "Like I Said")
5: a cat (assuming cats liked being in small boxes and it would not be a cruel thing to do)
6: a mouse
7: pistachio ice cream (assume my box is also very cold)
8: my friend Shelley (assuming she liked being in small, cold boxes as well. the cruelty part is okay here. :-p )
9: a seashell
10: a vibrator
11: Patchouli incense
12: I'm not quite sure what the 12th item would be exactly, but it would be something symbolic of or denoting true freedom (I suppose Shelley and the cat in the box wouldn't do it)

I am assuming the mouse is in there for the cat to eat? lol

Actually, the mouse would represent a certain part of my personality. I thought the analogy was kind of poor actually, but given that the cat was there, I decided to throw it in anyway :)

It comes to mind that leaving it empty would be appropriately symbollic.

That's a really neat idea...but I am too lazy to come up with a good list. I keep re-thinking mine over and over. Hope you are well.
