After spending some time wondering why I had bothered to walk all the way to the fireworks here in Marquette. I went home. That had to be just about the lamest firework display I have ever seen (including some that were put on by people in their backyards). Marquette's Fireworks (as they are referred to...) are shitty. Been that way for years...

Ishpemings always outclasses them, always.

Marquette historically always spends WAY too much damned $$ on the "International DRUNK Fest" instead of a decent display of explosions.

It's a shame.

Man. Who can afford to get drunk there? And the food is AWFUL. I know it's for charity, but Yikes. I'd ratehr write a check.

St. Rocco's in Ishpeming is so much cooler. because it is totally not cool.

BTW trying to FIND anyone at Al Quaal before the fireworks is a fools errand. You have to meet up before and stay with the grop. A rope may be helpful :).

amazingly, I met up with several people that I knew. I wasn't looking for anyone while I was there.
