heh - I'm having country music flashbacks now
(btw, mariachi? that's from Mexico, not Spain, but maybe you know that)

I actually did, but I couldn't think of what spanish folk music would be called.

I also suspect that most newspapers wouldn't really care, either.

Isn't a wood blemish a "knot"? are you sure you have the right answers?

That's what I thought, but the cross-answers are "Sarandon of Hollywood" and "San Antonio Hoopsters"--SUSAN and SPURS, respectively, which I'm positive about.

* Earth's Crust Bound By Faults: HORST

A Horst Fault is caused when two reverse faults cause a block of rock to be pushed up. (I kinda knew that)

* Wood Blemish: KNAR

knar also knaur n.- A knot or burl on a tree or in wood.
[Middle English knarre, probably from Old English *cnear, or from Middle Dutch and Middle Low German knorre.] (Gotta love dictionary.com)

* Mariachi Artists Brace For Sales Boom

Oh My... ¿Dónde estaba usted? Cuando el tren estalló
(Loosely translated via Babelfish: Where were you? When the train exploded)

The Roundup has ruined my sense of compassion. 6 months ago I would not have made that joke...

Thanks, Roundup!!!

Thanks, Vern! And I'm proud to have totally destroyed your sense of empathy for your fellow man. GO ME!

Also, I love your icon with a huge love. And thanks for my new one!!

Especially good today! The Mariachi joke is wonderfully observant. And here I thought that was a Mexican style. :) Or is it?

As for Pier 1, I submit that Kirstie Alley's dead-on drag queen impersonation was gayer than the dumb guy from Queer Eye [who does, admittedly, do great work].

It is--see above.

I feel kind of bad for Kirstie, but the rumor was that they dumped her because she is now the same size as a house. Oh, well. I know she's terrible but I actually really enjoyed her goofy commercials.

You mean someone got fired in Hollywood because they gained weight? I'm shocked!

And if she were really the same size as a house then they could put the furniture in her. Clearly someone was exaggerating.

Have you caught a glance and Kirstie's lower teeth during those ads? It's enough to make you throw up your paella
